Breakfast & After School Care / Clubs

Free Breakfast Club available at 08:10 every day

We’re excited to share that Bamford has been selected to take part in the Government pilot scheme for Free Breakfast Clubs.

The scheme offers more than just a free breakfast. It creates a space where children can ease into the school day, helping support mood and readiness to learn.  Via pupil voice children told us how much they value the opportunity to chat with friends. They also requested crafts and activities, such as Lego.

The scheme is designed to encourage children to engage fully with the breakfast experience and funding is based on them attending the full half hour. We kindly ask that children arrive between 8:10 and 8:20.

The scheme is not designed as an early drop-off; it’s about giving our children a gentle start to their day, which can be immensely beneficial for their overall well-being. Of course, we understand that emergencies arise, so we will continue to be flexible when necessary.

As for the menu, children will have choices such as wholemeal toast, bagels, or crumpets, along with a selection of low sugar cereals, natural yogurt and fruit.

Early Birds Breakfast Club available from 07:45 every day

For those who need an earlier start, Early Birds is available from 07:45-08:10 everyday.

This costs £2.50 per session (to cover the costs of staffing).

Siblings enjoy a discounted rate of £2.25 per session.

We also accept childcare vouchers.

Booking

Everyone is welcome to join at any point. Just come down to the school hall in the lower school, where you will be greeted by staff members.

Extra activities at Bamford Primary School

At Bamford Primary we are proud to present many opportunities for children to try out new experiences and activities. There are many options to consider. Clubs take place at lunchtimes and before or after school.  The list changes throughout the year, so please keep an eye out for further information.
